What is your service area?

We currently serve New Haven and parts of Fairfield Counties.

Is there a minimum requirement for services to occur?

Yes, we have a 5-6 mile minimum for a one way request.

Will my child be picked up on time?

Yes. However, there will be times of unforeseen traffic and/or weather conditions which may cause a delay. Parents will always be notified if the driver is running behind schedule.

What is the wait-list and how does it work?

The wait-list will be available for parents who are unable to secure a specific day or time. Once a requested time slot becomes available we will contact the parent about the opening and start services immediately.

What kind of vehicles do you use?

We currently are using Minivans and regular sedan vehicles.

Will the driver walk my child to the door?

We are not able to leave other children unattended in our vehicles. The driver will wait until they see that the child safely makes it in doors.

What kind of background checks will be done on new drivers?

Piggyback Rides will conduct an extensive pre-employment criminal history verification, child protective service check, sex offender registry check, motor vehicle record check and drug screen.

Are you insured?

Yes. We are fully insured. We have commercial transportation insurance and general business insurance, which is a mandated requirement by the State of Connecticut.

How does your billing work?

Piggyback Rides will send an invoice to the parent the week prior to the service week. Our services are prepaid and cannot be rendered until payment is received.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, paypal, money orders.
