- Minimum H.S. Diploma
- Pass all Pre-Employment background checks (Criminal, DCF, Sex Offender, Drug Screens)
- Valid Driver’s License- no history of suspensions
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)- no moving violations of any kind in last 3 years
- 1-3 Years of Transportation Scheduling experience preferred but not required
- Must have reliable transportation
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works with schools, parents, patients, transportation staff, to provide reliable transportation services and modifications
- Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of trip schedules;
- Maintain professional demeanor with passengers, school officials, foster parents, social workers at all times;
- Ensure safety of child passengers including but not limited to ensuring proper pickup and drop off locations. Ensure on time pickups and drop offs ;
- Maintain clear communications with management regarding late pickups, incidents with passengers, inclement weather conditions, etc.;
- Confirming scheduled routes Via text message reply; Must have a smartphone
- Reads and interprets GPS maps and driving directions to plan the most efficient route service for passengers;
Required education:
- High school or equivalent
Required experience:
- working with children and families: at least 1 year
Required licenses or certifications:
- Valid Drivers License
- F , P , S or V Endorsements are a plus

FT & PT Office Manager
As an Office Manager at PBR Student Transportation, you will be expected to maintain a high level of organization and efficiency within the office environment. You will oversee daily administrative tasks, manage communications, and support the team in ensuring seamless operations. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities, and a strong commitment to maintaining the high standards of service that PBR is known for. You will be a key player in creating a positive work atmosphere, fostering collaboration among staff, and ensuring that all office functions are carried out smoothly and effectively. Your attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to manage time-sensitive tasks will be crucial in contributing to the success of our transportation services.
Hours Monday – Friday 8a-4p or 1p-6p. No weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Scheduling: Take charge of planning and coordinating AM/PM routes, ensuring that students are picked up and dropped off in a timely and efficient manner. This involves real-time adjustments and managing changes that may occur throughout the day.
Ride Counts: Accurately track and report the number of student rides daily. This data is crucial for maintaining service quality and ensuring all students are accounted for.
Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, boards of education, schools, city and state officials. You’ll be responsible for relaying important information, handling inquiries, and keeping all parties informed of any schedule changes or updates.
Schedule Revisions: Proactively update and revise PM schedules based on morning no-shows and other unforeseen changes. Your ability to quickly adapt and reorganize will ensure smooth operations.
Vehicle Maintenance: Monitor vehicle mileage daily and schedule regular inspections to ensure all vans are safe and compliant with regulations. Your attention to detail will help maintain our high safety standards.
Phone Management: Answer and direct incoming calls with professionalism, ensuring that all inquiries are handled promptly and efficiently. Your role is crucial in maintaining a positive and responsive communication channel.
Calendar Coordination: Compile and maintain comprehensive school calendars, ensuring all transportation services are aligned with school schedules, holidays, and special events.
Software Flexibility: Learn and manage our transportation route software, ensuring that all scheduling and routing information is accurately inputted and updated. A willingness to embrace new technologies is key.
